This has been gnawing at me for a long time. I've wrestled with it like the dickens. Finally, I've come to a decision: I'm leaving dA.
Believe me when I say this decision was
not caused by anything anyone here has said or done. My time on dA has been postively lovely, and I feel nothing but gratitude toward you guys.
The fact of the matter is, I've realized something about myself that I don't like at all. What have I realized? Well, quite frankly, I'm a very proud person. I'm proud of my looks, my intellect, and most especially my talents, and instead of using dA to encourage others, I've used dA to feed my pride. This goes against everything I believe I should pursue as a follower of Christ: love for God, love for others, and "death to self".
Or, rather, it goes against everything I
say I believe I should pursue. And that's my problem. It's time I stop just
saying I believe this or that and actually start LIVING it.
Thanks again to everyone for making my stay here so lovely. I imagine I'll still lurk around here from time to time and leave comments. I just won't upload anything new. For readers of "Pawn Endgame", you can find it on fanfiction.net:

Now then, I guess this can be my farewell meme.

Be one of the first 15 people to comment on this journal entry, and I'll put you on the feature list.

For each of these 15 people, I'll put their avatar and three deviations I like from their gallery on the list.

If I feature you, you'll have to do the same in your journal, featuring 15 people and putting me in first place.
The idea of this isn't to get a free feature. It's to spread the art around!

Mrah hah. I'm pulling a funny. I finished season 5 of Lost, and i'm at the point where anything that has God in it needs a comment about Jacob, or the Island.
